I recently read a devotion with this verse at the center. “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20
I thought about the word always. It is very significant when placed in a sentence with actions and realities surrounding it. It comes with promise and commitment.
Another word that doesn’t hold the promise of always is almost. I’m so glad I don’t serve an almost Savior. My Savior is always with me.
Here are some expressions with almost. They do not hold the hope of always.
Almost finished
Almost on time
Almost ready
Almost cooked
Almost remembered
Almost passed
Almost there
Almost healed
“I am with you always” carries a promise into eternity.
Do you have an always or almost saying?
