“Draw close to God and He will draw close to you.” James 4:8

Welcome to a place where you can relax, visit a bit with me, talk about books or life or history. I am a wife, a mother, a teacher, a writer, and a Christian. The books that I author are Historical Christian Fiction, since that is what I adore reading, although you will find I read other genres too. Sit back and enjoy a cup of tea and a good book. Don’t forget to comment and tell me about your experience.

Currently, my husband and I live in North Louisiana, coming home after a long period in Texas and Mississippi. I’m settling in to a new school teaching Spanish to a lively, intelligent group of youth. In my spare time, I travel, read, research, and write. My daughter and I are planning a trip to France this summer for a month of research and practicing French.

I’m the author of two published novels, Hold Me Close and Surround Me, books one and two of Revolutionary Faith. Book Three, Bring Me Near, is at the publisher. I have two completed novels in my Gardens in Time series. Currently, I’m writing book four of the Revolutionary Faith series, Draw Me to Your Side.  I’m excited to see where my writing takes me. All I can encourage my readers to do is to be patient–in God’s timing.

I have BA degrees in French, Spanish, and Journalism from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and a MA degree in English from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. I am a member of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), Abilene Writers Guild, South Carolina Historical Society, Preservation Society of Charleston, and Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
