Last-Minute Details

Are you a last-minute shopper, decorator, or Christmas card sender? I will admit years ago I was the one who had everything done and in order by the first week of December. Yet for the last few years I have become more of a last-minute shopper and wrapper. Therefore, today, the Saturday before Christmas I wrapped, baked cookies, and watched Hallmark movies. I loved every minute of it. It doesn’t matter that Christmas is in three days.

IMG_6356What happened to make me change? Life happened and there have been other priorities. My life is simpler, and the gifts have taken a back seat to the real meaning and purpose of Christmas.

So, at this busy time of year, I wish you a Merry Christmas. I want you to enjoy the celebration of Jesus–his birth, his life, his gift of salvation to each of us.

“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

       Isaiah 9:6-7

Merry Christmas and Happy 2019!!!

For a last-minute wrapper, you surely did have much success! Christmas at home was wonderful, the first time in a few years that it has been just us 4, the immediate family. It felt so special to be there to support each other. The ambiance you create in the house (any house wherever you have lived) has always been so comforting. As I make my home, I always try to mimic how you made everything so cozy. happy New Year! Love you Mama!
