Easter Inspiration

This is Holy Week—the road leading to the cross and Resurrection Sunday. I’m glad every day is a blessed new life with Jesus. By remembering and meditating on the Easter journey, I’m renewed and strengthened as suffering turns to rejoicing. Amen!
In Louisiana, we know about Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday. The two weeks of partying and parading end abruptly at midnight, ushering in Ash Wednesday. The beginning of Lent is a sobering experience, meant to capture the serious contemplation of Christ’s life and resurrection.
This year I surrounded my Lenten journey with this scripture: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you.” John 14:27.
Each day I sent a card to a person God laid on my heart, sharing the verse on peace. I don’t know about you, but this year I’ve needed the reassurance of God’s peace. The world spins crazily at times. His peace combats the chaos and tilts my life toward His purpose.
My prayer for you: May you experience peace and hope this Easter season with a desire to send it forward in the following days.
Happy Easter. Peace, in Jesus’ Name.
