Mother’s Day Cards

Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, mother-in-law, sisters, friends, daughter-in-law, and family (nieces, cousins, etc.) Wow! What a special day. Blessings to all who have the role of mother in someone’s life. I spent some time at Barnes and Noble looking for Mother’s Day cards. What a great source of entertainment. I could have bought so many.

My favorite (and I bought it for me) has a picture of a mother from the 50s with her daughter mixing something in the kitchen. The mother says, “Am I a good mother, Susan?” The young girl responds, “My name’s Amy.” Oh my, I laughed out loud. Has this ever happened to you? I’m from a family of four sisters. Luckily, I am the oldest. My parents, at times, start with my name first. “Marguerite, I mean Sarah, no Christine. Oh right, Charlotte.” We are used to it.

I have a son and a daughter. I do the same thing. What a hoot! So much truth in that card.

Here are the others that I bought for mothers, sisters and daughter. A bit more appropriate—maybe.

Happy Mother’s Day!

1 Peter 3:4 “You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.”
