It’s that time again. National Novel Writing Month! Every November I join this event setting a goal of 50,000 words. My project is the first draft of Conversation Hearts (Book Two in my stories in the Suamalie Islands.)

I’m so excited to write the first words. Today I hit 3,600 words. Yes, that is a long way from 50,000 but it goes up daily.

Do you ever enter any group challenges? I do on Fitbit in the walking challenges. I set lots of book reading goals. For example, I’m trying to reach my goal of 150 books Read in Goodreads. It will be close!

Whatever you do to challenge yourself, try to find joy in the journey.
