Do you enjoy Road Trips? I look forward to the trips that take me six, nine, sixteen hours down the highway.
This week I set out by myself to visit my two grandsons in Florida and south Louisiana. Both are growing so quickly that I couldn’t stand it any longer. I loaded my car with snacks, writing material and books, a few clothes, and loaded my iPad with audio books. Although, I love road trips with someone else, too, the time alone is very productive.
Why I look forward to a road trip:
- Prayer time
- Audio books
- Snacks
- New sights
- Destination
- Different routine
- Rest stops for exercise
- Crossing state lines
Can you think of other reasons to enjoy a road trip?
Oh, yeah, the journey home!
Oh, I love road tripping. I do not like doing it alone. If I can’t get my husband to tagalong with me, I will ask my daughter or my mother. We always have great conversations, but the three of us value, the quiet and the scenery as well. Every road trip I’ve taken with my mother or my daughter has been a bonding experience.
I will say, the longest road trip was when I drove to Dallas from Michigan. Oklahoma is very boring. Lol.
I remember when you came to Dallas. I’m so glad we met!
We are delighted that you made the trip to visit South Louisiana, and especially to spend so much time with Gian-Luc!
I learned to love road trips with you!!! We will take one across Texas this summer!
Texas is always a good idea! I loved coming to see you and keeping Gian!
