With summer just around the corner, I see more hours to read. I’m hoping to get to some books that I’ve been staring at for a while.
Recommended by DAR, A Girl Called Samson by Amy Harmon takes the reader to the American Revolutionary War where a young woman dares to chart her own destiny in life and love. Another historical novel, The Keeper of Hidden Books by Madeline Martin brings the reader to an underground library in WWII in Warsaw.
The 13th Demon by Bruce Hennigan is a supernatural read described as intense, suspenseful, and spooky, one I’ll read during the daylight. Another daytime read is Ghosts of Chartres House by Jonni Rich, mystery with a dash of the paranormal. Both of these authors are new-to-me.
Pepper Basham in Positively Penelope adds humor and sunshine, giving the reader a joyful experience. The last one in my short list is Boudin and Bloodshed by Jann Franklin is #2 in the Small Town Girl Mysteries. Both of these books are contemporary reads.
Join me on this reading journey.
What are you reading? I can always add more books to my list…
