“Delight yourself in the Lord. And He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
I had an older friend who would say to me “your life is a vacation.” He would say that because I was a teacher with summers off and I have always traveled a lot. I’d laugh of course because 50 weeks out of the year, I’d be close to home doing those everyday things.
Yet, this verse really captures how life should be. Maybe “vacation” isn’t the descriptive word. But contentment would fit the normal days. There is much to delight in and about this amazing world—good, wholesome, pure. Like a sunrise or sunset, zinnias and butterflies, hot tea, a good book, friends, music, rain…
Add to the list: What do you delight in besides the Love of the Lord?
I pray multiple times a day to God I somehow finally find a good man to marry and pray that somehow someway I can become a mother
His beautiful creation that surrounds us. Reading! Traveling with wonderful friends!
