I really think I need a vacation from myself. I don’t know if that is possible, but I know how I want it to look. How can I unplug me from the equation?
My days, weekends, and even vacations always have a list or lists. I love organizing my time and seeing goals accomplished
daily. But to tell you the truth, I need a break from it all. I have goals for work (I’m a teacher), writing, reading, gardening, social media, editing, inputting, and general life things like cooking, laundry, and cleaning. I’m tired just thinking about it.
On vacation, I still tend to bring my writing and editing along with my books and social media.
What would a vacation look like without dragging along the stuff of my goals.
- Long walks
- Puzzles
- Long reading spells
- Watching a movie without multitasking
- Board games
- Working in the garden
- Touring gardens, houses, new places
- Sitting with my husband with no TV or plans
- Talking and listening without a device in sight!
- Long meditation and praying
- But all without a list…
Will I ever get a vacation from myself? Not entirely…but I can try to take along the good parts and have fun!
Bon voyage…wherever you go, even in the backyard.
Enjoy your vacation wherever you go
Enjoy your vacation. Be sure to update inquiring minds.🙂
