A Social Dilemma

Take a look at this situation: You can only make or receive 5 calls or texts a day. How will you use your choices?

Oh, no! I’ve tried to think through this. I have many group threads between friends, sisters, family, husband, and children. This is texts or calls so emails, Facebook, etc. are still free.

Mentally make a list and check your priorities:

  • Parents
  • Siblings
  • Friend (one or a group)
  • Spouse
  • Children (one or a group)
  • Doctors
  • Businesses
  • Other

What would you do? It could be a dilemma. 5 is not many. Maybe 20 or more would be easier! It shows how dependent we are on texts and calls. Remember there was a time when access to instant communication did not exist.

Happy texting!

Have no cell phone or cell service so dilemma for me but if I did my 5 calls would go to parents, Doctors [eye, dentist, etc…]

Great post! I was just thinking about this today as we navigated a new town with no gps. I remember paper maps and that’s what we used. Miss those days sometimes. By the way YOU are in my top 5!

Great question! The first five on the list would have to be my choices. Guess I’d just have to drive to the others to communicate!
