Remember me echoes across the miles, forcing barriers to tremble.

1785–When Nell Morris’ desires do not materialize, the Lestarjette babies and novel writing occupy her time. The one person she does not want to fictionalize pursues his dreams far from her. She survives the American Revolution as the battles tore her world apart. But will Tom’s absence tear her heart asunder? Her pen and memories force her to remember.

Tom Engle faces Nell at his sister’s wedding. Beautiful and finally old enough for him to express his love. But he cannot stay as his course leads him across the mountains seeking adventure. Will a few letters sustain their budding romance? His wandering feet, meant for adventure, produce a challenge, as he promises to remember their past while questioning their future.

As the Lestarjette family expands in number, new directions and dreams surround the city of Charleston, some worthy of novels and newspapers.
