What do you have in place for burnout?
Burnout. It’s not a word or a circumstance I like to face or consider. But it happens. There is a time for everything under the sun. Maybe burnout is one of those things put in place for us to stop and contemplate all that we do from a detached perspective.
What do you have in place for burnout?
I have a few things:
- Say “no” for a season.
- Read a book that you want to read.
- Go for a walk.
- Plan a vacation. (Planning is half the fun!)
- Drink tea (or coffee) on the front porch away from the computer or phone.
- Journal, meditate, and pray.
- Make a photo album.
- Unplug for a day, a few days, a week.
- Prepare favorite recipes for no reason.
- Eat comfort food—chocolate, cake, French bread.
Great topic! I like your list
Taking a break for coffee, Diet Coke or a snack.
Planning some breaks in the schedule for days off.
Giving myself time to compete things without rushing.
Stopping to watch a movie or soccer match.
Taking at least one day of the weekend off.
Traveling.
You have a great list too! Have a great weekend! Love!
Experiencing burnout at this time myself! I have been decluttering. Not just my closets and cabinets but life. Saying no, releasing obligations to someone else for a change. Trying to slow down.
My coping includes:
Staying in bed for a day
Taking a walk
Tea and listening to nature.
Taking a drive in the countryside.
We really all need to take care of ourselves and listen to our bodies and slow down.
I agree to all of that! Take care. Love you bunches!!
